      Blobbi:
      FWIW, I'm with Chief here.

\"Until\" does mean up to a certain point, so,
The tennis match cannot continue until (up till this point) it stops raining.

Unless is also correct (although it's not part of the question) but it depends on a situation, ie, when it stops raining.
      You are right Blobbi! 😄

Muffins, I know what you mean. The sentence just sounds awkward to me.

            Hi,

            I need help here !!

Is there a way to remember the young of an animal ?

            For eg,

foal is the young of horse
calf is the young of cow
pup is the young of seal, dolphine, dog
kitten is the young of cat, rats, rabbit, etc

Is there a pattern somewhere that will help the kids to remember ??
I can't even remember, how to expect the kids to ?? :stupid:

Also same problem with collective nouns.

            Any idea ??

            MTIA !!

I don’t think there is any pattern but to aid memorisation, perhaps you can group/classify the animals according to the name of their young and just memorise.

Even if there is a pattern , it should be quite limited.

Just a thought - maybe you can try drawing colourful mind maps, say group according to mammals. fishes, birds etc… or wild and domestic animals…
