Oh My Gosh:
thks!micollh:
any idea when is the exact date for march/april grading? paid the grading fees but date until now not firm..
Dates will not be known until closer to the exam dates as RAD needs to arrange the examiner (usually flown from overseas) schedule. The ballet teacher who arranged your grading exams for you DD should be informed, hence the best person to have first hand info on the exact date. -
Are there anyone’s kids in Dancepointe Junior Apprentice program? what is your review for this program? As my dd is currently enrolled in their ballet class (twice a week). If join in this program, will have additional 1.5hr lesson once a week. Wondering worth to join in? Thanks!

If your child has CCA in school and has thrice a week ballet lessons, do you think your child may be exhausted if you throw in some enrichment as well? It may backfire and affect studies. -
agree with sembgal… with the grading we have to go twice a week now… if join apprentice program it’s like half a week in ballet… tiring for the young kid and also parent (fetching)…
-
twice a week ballet is already very tired, for both child & parents (fetching, waiting)
can’t imagine 3x per week
The what if the child got other enrichment lessons to attend like Compositon class, Chinese tuition, swimming, Art, piano ? -
I know 3x a week’s dance should be tiring for little kids. My dd is only P1, no other enrichment classes so far. That’s why want to get some information from other parents who’s dd is in this Junior Apprentice Programme. How do you feel about this program? compare to school’s CCA, which one is worth a try? Thanks!

Hi,
My dd is in this program. She is P5 this year. She has no other enrichment or tuition but she has supplementary and other activities in school. I let her take part in apprentice as she is very into ballet and this is also a form of motivation to her. 3x a week's dance is definitely tiring but the improvement is very significant. Normal class only cover the syllabus. In apprentice they get to learn other ballet techniques and also get to explore to perform on stage.
To me, if she is happy and is able to cope with studies, I'm ok.
Just my opinion.

Can ballet use as a DSA to go to Secondary School or is there any Secondary School offers ballet as CCA?

Thank you very much! My dd also like to dance, so we decided to let her try this program.S6169:

Thanks FantasyLandDreams, bebe and dancing star for your reply. I finally manage to get my daughter enrolled into the existing batch which the new term will begin this week in Canberra CC. Though the timing is not really ideal for me and my daughter, but that's the best option right now for us :rahrah:
