My boy had to take Malay in Sec 1 last year too. I think it’s good for them to be able to understand some Malay as we live in a multi-cultural society, it can come in handy. It’s not an exam subject, so just learn for fun.

Also how come short days they have to have lunch in school and then dismiss at 2pm? Why cannot go off at last lesson? Hv any reason for that? Seems like CHS days are long. Neighbourhood schools have 1 day start date and one day go home early at 12 plus. How come nothing of this in CHS? Lol. I can imagine them home later and slogging to do hw at night. Omg. Hope I am wrong.
If there is no class after lunch, they can go back after the last lesson. They do not have to take lunch in school. I think the teachers used the same time table template so the lunch period is there. -
Thanks R3mom. Oic. Then it is similar to what he has in primary school too. Take Malay lessons for knowledge and exposure. Will tell him that. Thanks.

Is the tme-table w.e.f Monday ? DS says there’s UG CCAs trials on Monday…
DS has been offered 3 Performing Arts CCAs, but none for Sports. He has music background, but he is more interested in Sports…
Do you prefer your boy to join a CCA he is good at, or join a CCA he is (more) interested in ? -
