Because 6 is better than 7 wat
can explain why 6-3 better than 7-4, because both also end up 3 points ? thanks :?lesleer:
If 2 points then you have a very, very good chance. If 3 points then it depends.
A score of 6-3 is better than a score of 7-4 (source is from moe website). -
Does any jc offer hybrid course of physics+math+history h2 and h1 econs? If so who?

phtthp:
\"In situations where there are two or more applicants with the same net aggregate score vying for the last place in a course, they will be posted based on their citizenship status (i.e. Singapore Citizens, then Singapore Permanent Residents, then International Students). If there is still a tie, say between two Singapore Citizens, the one with the better gross aggregate score will be posted into the course first.\"

6 is a better gross aggregate score than 7, so if 2 singaporeans with 3 points are competing for a spot (one getting 6-3 and the other getting 7-4), the student who scored 6-3 will get the place first
\" If there is still a tie between two citizens with the same gross aggregate scores, then posting into the course will be determined by a computerised ballot where each candidate is given an equal opportunity.\" -
heard that Hwa Chong Junior College A level has a niche in subject Chemistry. (H2)
Then what is RI niche Science subject (H2) ?
How about NJC and VJC A level niche Science (H2) subjects ?
for Humanities based -
Which JC has niche for H2 (Economics, Geography, History) ? -

Hi I'm thinking off appealing to meridian cause I got 14 points n aft bonus pts it's 12. I've heard tht some jcs will just take a nett score (by just taking the max 4 points off) so does anyone know if meridian does tht or which JCs do tht? Thks in advance!
posting to every jc is based on nett l1r5 first. do make sure you really have stuff worth appealing with, since even with 12 you're quite a few points off MJ's cutoff. and make sure you will be happy attending your second choice too in case your appeal does not work out. -
I got a C5 for HMT :yikes: but plan to enter yllsom, will this C5 then affect my chances of getting in and will this also cause me to be prejudiced against people who score better than me in HMT but score the same with me in the other subjects for A levels?

Does anyone knows if affiliation points can be used if you choose d affiliated jc as a second choice? I read d jae booklet n I think it only applies if u choose it as 1st choice unless u r interested in d both arts n science stream. However, dd’s friends seem to think otherwise. Anyone has a firm answer? moe will take 3 days to reply…

yup you have to put it as first choice or first and second choice if you are interested in both arts and science stream. you can find it in page 12 of the jae booklet -
Tks for your reply lesleer.

Start next year, Moe going to introduce changes to A level again.
The last time A level syllabus changed : occurred in 2006 -
where Moe introduced a contrasting subject.
If you are a Science student, you take a contrasting Arts subject.
If you are an Arts student, you take a contrasting Science subject.
so that no A level student is a pure Science, nor a pure Arts student.
You are a mixture, of both arts (humanities) & Science.
It was also in 2006 : that Moe removed Triple Sciences, in all Junior Colleges.
With Triple Science gone -
for Science students : Chemistry compulsory.
Pupils take either Chem with Physics, or Chem with Biology.
In RI -
500 A level students take H2 Physics, another 500 students take H2 Biology.
Chemistry is their common H2 subject.
In Hwa Chong Junior college -
900 A level students take H2 Chemistry.
out of these 900 -
500 students take H2 Physics, another 400 take H2 Biology.
The rest take Humanities.
next year 2016 (10 years later, from 2006) :-
"A" level syllabus going to change.
one of the changes involve : bringing back F Maths to A level.
This year batch of 2015 JC1 students admitted -
is the last batch, remain unaffected. (escape)
next year 2016 JC1 students :
will be impacted, by the new A level syllabus content change(s), coming up.
