The ranking is something like that:

6-4=2 can go anywhere.
6-3 =3
7-4=3
6-2=4
7-3=4
So it depends how many students in each category, which varies each year.

Hi I’m thinking off appealing to meridian cause I got 14 points n aft bonus pts it’s 12. I’ve heard tht some jcs will just take a nett score (by just taking the max 4 points off) so does anyone know if meridian does tht or which JCs do tht? Thks in advance!

6 is a better gross aggregate score than 7, so if 2 singaporeans with 3 points are competing for a spot (one getting 6-3 and the other getting 7-4), the student who scored 6-3 will get the place first

posting to every jc is based on nett l1r5 first. do make sure you really have stuff worth appealing with, since even with 12 you're quite a few points off MJ's cutoff. and make sure you will be happy attending your second choice too in case your appeal does not work out.

I got a C5 for HMT :yikes: but plan to enter yllsom, will this C5 then affect my chances of getting in and will this also cause me to be prejudiced against people who score better than me in HMT but score the same with me in the other subjects for A levels?

Does anyone knows if affiliation points can be used if you choose d affiliated jc as a second choice? I read d jae booklet n I think it only applies if u choose it as 1st choice unless u r interested in d both arts n science stream. However, dd’s friends seem to think otherwise. Anyone has a firm answer? moe will take 3 days to reply…
