This is for Higher Chinese batch student I guess, good luck to them, I find it tough also for my daughter.

After going through PSLE with dd1, it dawned on me that preparation should start fr p1. Thus, thumbs up for sembgal for creating this thread!
My DD's school bookshop Aunty shared with me that even though the child is in P2, it is still important to revisit P1 work as P1 and P2 work lay the foundation for P3 onwards. I think that is a wise advice. She shared that P1 and P2 years are more relaxing compared to other levels. Therefore, make use of the time to brush up the foundation. -

Hi phtthp, my dd has started writing Chinese Composition 作文 during Chinese lesson in class yesterday. It was a picture description composition. -

But I sent her to P3 small group tuition class when she was in P1 (Jan 2014), her tuition teacher expected them to complete the zuowen (作文 4 pictures) with 300 words and a few helping words, she was unable to complete it during her first lesson, she spent about another 1.5 to 2hrs with 200 words at home, I wanted to help her but she rejected my offer, her tuition teacher gave 60% to her, we were happy with her score and attitude.

At p2, your dd is learning at very fast pace. This is v good. :rahrah:
she is able to cope in a p3 tuition class and written a 200 words compo. :yikes:
It is also v good tat she wanted to write the compo without any help, this showed her willingness to learn and determination. Keep up the gd work.
My dd still have prob constructing 句子 and link up her story.
