We did not hear anything for our school so I guess 2015 PSLE is not influenced by the new system.

Nothing from my Dd's school at the briefing i attended yesterday.

Psle 2015 : is not hit

at the parents meet Principal meeting -
heard that pioneering batch hit might be either kids born 2006, or 2007. I really dread this un-welcome change. But info very vague : something about being banded, just like in O level.
Hence, need further clarification, from parents of other primary schools, if they heard anything similar from their school Principal, regarding this.[/quote]

So, if started on 2006 or 2007, our 2007 kids will be affected by the new PSLE system. 2019 will be the first or second batch!

          new Psle grading method :-
wide banding for psle, just like for O level

don't know how they going to handle appeal cases, into Secondary schools

My Dd's school didn't mention about any changes for the piggies' cohort.

It depends on the school, best to ask the teacher. But if you have the time, you can get some simple exercises and go through with your child. Ds2 had a simple comprehension passage in P1, T4.

Ya, no official word out. I personally think it is a good move but I am not holding my breath for it.

Anyway points or grades, primary school is basic education and ds2 should have a good grasp of the materials regardless of the form of assessment.

Oh yes, it may depend on class too. Chinese classes are now ability based.
