            Hi,

I transferred both my ds to Pat’s Schoolhouse at the beginning of this year, from another Pat’s affiliated childcare because they were bought over by a large consortium.
My elder son has always been a little bit shy especially in new environments - in the previous childcare, it took him 6 months all in all to get use to the concept of going to a school daily. So dh and I were prepared for another long period of transition. To our surprise, we found remarkable changes after only ONE day - ds1 is much more confident, and articulate very well (used several ‘big’ words which we had never heard from him before), and were clearly very enthusiastic in what was taught in class (told us he wanted to visit Africa next time to see the animals in the wild =D).
I am also very pleased with the Chinese teachers there, as they make it a point to offer different perspectives of his behaviour throughout the day, not only during Chinese lessons/projects.
ds2 has also started to use new vocabs in his articulation, and had also managed to acquire new ‘intonations’ in his speech as well, coupled with creative facial expressions to emphasise his message.
DH and I really cannot ask for more, and felt even more certain that our decision to switch them to Pat’s is a positive move. Sure some of these changes might probably be attributed to other factors, but the changes have been consistent and we are seeing how the new environment - teachers, school, friends, curriculum - is drawing out the best out of our children even after 2 weeks in school.
            I hope this helps.[/quote]

The current, year 2009, principle is not well organized. Doing things in a

very messy way. She may be good in talking but no good in managing.
Previous staffs are better than the current ones.

In my personal opinion, the fee paid is not justifiable. Choose an average
fee childcare centre and save the extra money for other enrichment
programme over the weekends. Then you will see your child learn more
as more exposure. A child will pick up automatically when you expose
                him/her more.

                  Hi, Bowie,
my kids are in Pat's Jubilee. So far so good. My kids love going there. My 21/2 years have become very talkative (when she started , she still could not speak in sentences) Of course, that could be also because she is getting older.
They are there for full days , until 5:30 pm, (by picking them up at 5:30pm, I get $50 discount from Patschoolhouse).

After $300 from government, and $50 from Pats , the final amount is 900+ (including GST).

                    No problems, Bowie.
                    - My kids are actually at Halifax, but I heard that Pat's standards are usually quite high in all their centres. I've visited the ones in Claymore and Buckley and they are no different from Halifax. We finally settled on Halifax because of proximity to our offices.
                    - Both of them are in Full Day. Apparently they have introduced this FasTrack programme for those in Nursery classes as of this year, which exposes 4yo to Science, Nature, etc. It's a new programme which they brought in from Denver, and is only made available to Full Day children. The other thing I like about Pat's is that even though it's expensive, there are no other incidental costs which you have to pay. Some other childcare might be cheaper, but you'll need to fork out extra for 'enrichment' courses such as these, which will add up to be the same as what you'll pay at Pat's at the end of the day. (The previous centre that they were at cost about $600 but still charges me extra for things like their Music & Movement and Chinese lessons.)
                    Hope these help.

Hi, have anyone send your kids to Pats Schoolhouse at Jubilee Park. How would you rate the school program, teachers and school environment ?
