Can ballet use as a DSA to go to Secondary School or is there any Secondary School offers ballet as CCA?

SAHM2KIDS:
Thank you very much! My dd also like to dance, so we decided to let her try this program.S6169:
I know 3x a week's dance should be tiring for little kids. My dd is only P1, no other enrichment classes so far. That's why want to get some information from other parents who's dd is in this Junior Apprentice Programme. How do you feel about this program? compare to school's CCA, which one is worth a try? Thanks!
Hi,
My dd is in this program. She is P5 this year. She has no other enrichment or tuition but she has supplementary and other activities in school. I let her take part in apprentice as she is very into ballet and this is also a form of motivation to her. 3x a week's dance is definitely tiring but the improvement is very significant. Normal class only cover the syllabus. In apprentice they get to learn other ballet techniques and also get to explore to perform on stage.
To me, if she is happy and is able to cope with studies, I'm ok.
Just my opinion.

Thanks FantasyLandDreams, bebe and dancing star for your reply. I finally manage to get my daughter enrolled into the existing batch which the new term will begin this week in Canberra CC. Though the timing is not really ideal for me and my daughter, but that's the best option right now for us :rahrah:

Surprising that you can enrol your dd so easily into the Canberra one. That used to have long waiting list but seemed that a lot withdrew to learn elsewhere. Hang around and you will know if you should stick there or leave. -
Hi all,
My DD is currently P1 and she has join the Dancepointe's Junior Apprentice Programme. Last year she had Jazz, Classical and summer school; she dance about 5hr a day. Other than the muscle cramp she had, she enjoyed the whole course and able to cope with the training. However, I'm not sure if she can cope with this year school & dance as she has more thing to study compare to last year (She was K2). She don't have other commitment other than dance.
She wanna join, so I just let her walk her path. As long as she is happy with her passion, I will support her.
The only thing that worried me is I don't have enough money need to support her passion. lol.
She is very excited with the new class. I have pre-empt her that she will have total of 3hr (3 classes) over the weekend.
So far, she said she's fine with it. -

SCGS and MGS -
Suppose a child (born 2007) manage to pass the coming 2015 April RAD G1 ballet exam.
Suppose she no time to sit for next year : 2016 G2 exam, because very busy.
Come 2017 -
can she take G3 exam, or only take G2 exam -
since she did not sit for G2 exam, earlier ?
Thanks, for clarification. -
Have anyone come across boys in ballet classes (in SG)?
