:rahrah:
I am looking for experienced (at least 5-10 years), patient and well qualified piano teacher (min diploma) who is great with young children.
I have a 7 year old who has recently expressed his interest in learning piano but I am pretty clueless and not sure how to engage the 'right' teacher.
Will appreciate if you could share your experience and contacts with me.
Location: Novena area
Preferred timing: Weekdays (Mon / Tue 4:00pm - 5:00pm)
Thank you so much for your help! Looking forward to your replies.

Well, I am one year into violin lesson now, and well, my left hand fingers do have more calluses compared to the right hand fingers, but so far I do not detect any loss in sensitivity in the fingers. So, perhaps for Guzheng, should be similar? -

I heard of $160 for 4 lessons of 45mins. That is a bit ex too.BeThankful:
Hi, I hv zero music background myself. Am looking for a piano teacher for my 9yo DD. Been recommended 2 teachers (both more than 15years teaching experience) and they quoted me S$80/lesson for 45mins for coming to my place in Bt Timah. Does it make sense to pay this fee for beginner level?
I think it's a bit too high for beginner.

$80 / lesson is too ex, for a beginner
Beginner (Grade 1) : usually around $ 100 to $ 120, per month, for 4 lessons : 1 to 1 teaching
I paid only $ 100 per month for 4 lessons, for my dd Grade 1 piano lessons : 1 to 1 teaching, each lesson half an hour. -

the Tr can help the child to jump grade, if child is ready to take the exam
to take Grade 6 Piano Practical exam : must pass Theory Grade 5, first.
