7788 and Chandelier,

Hi, can I find out a bit more about CCAs and the commitment level.
Is there such a concept (like RIβs case) whereby only sports and aesthetics are considered core sports and the rest of the CCAs are non-core, and all students must have at least 1 core CCA?
What level of time commitment is required for CCA in HCI? On average, is it 2 or 3 times a week?
Thanks. -

If I'm not wrong, there is no core or non core in HCI. My DS is in Uniform grp and he only has 1 CCA. Most of his friends also only have one. CCA training is depending on the respective CCA. For him, it is twice per week. Now he's in sec 3, it is reduced to once per week. I know track and field training is daily. -

In RI.. Uniform Groups are considered Core CCAs too, besides Sports & Aesthetics. Debate may be a Merit CCA in Year-1, but can be converted to a Core CCA from Year-2 onwards, if one shows great potential.
You're right. All students must take at least one Core CCA in RI. Merit CCAs are optional, though..
@ hi Yukilei..
Long time no chat. How are you ? Wow, your boy is already in Year-3. How time flies..

Debate is Core CCA in RI, not Merit CCA. All Merit CCA can be converted into Core CCA in Year 2. There is a boy that has chess as his Core CCA this year 'cos he is very good at it.

Thanks, Yukilei.

My ds is in Year 1 this year and in Aesthetics group. He has only 1 CCA ,so are most of the students. His CCA is twice a week. If there is events or competition, probably will take up more than twice a week.Hi, can I find out a bit more about CCAs and the commitment level.
