Chingay practices & rehearsals are finally coming to an end, for our Year-1 / Sec-1 boys.. 😓

Final full-dress rehearsal at F1 Pit today. Dinner will be provided. The boys will be dismissed from school at 10pm (hopefully no delay).

Actual Chingay performances on Fri (27/2) and Sat (28/2). Those who did not buy tickets for the show can view the performances at designated viewing areas near F1 Pit. Our boys will be performing the dance item 8 times throughout the show, as they move along the designated 'route'..

Anyone knows which day will the Chingay show be telecast LIVE on TV ? Both days ?

Did anyone of your son talk about the poor ventilation of the school hall? My son had mentioned that the ventilation is so poor that sometime, it really affect breathing. …My son is not the pampered type…I do noticed that the school hall has only 2 small little fans and aircon will not be on for any other occasion…except parents are presence. Many students had described the hall as an oven and sauna and if they stay for a long time in the hall…it is really get uncomfortable…once they step out of the hall…they feel like they are in cool heaven…

…Even my son’s neighborhood primary has a gigantic HVLS fan install above the school hall to provide ventilation. .so I don’t think such installation will not be approved by MOE…my daughter’s SEC school keep the aircon on for any occasion…as long there are large group of people in the hall…and it is government school… Anyone had such feedback from your son?

I mean MOE should approve the Budget for the school to do it.

MOE just announced that the new jc will be ready only in end-2019. The interim site is at the former RJC

Dreamgear.. Where was RJC located ?

That means, the current Y2 & Y3 IP students will not have the chance to study at the new JC campus ?

                        Joint Integrated Programme JC

Students interested in applying for direct admission to Catholic High School, CHIJ St Nicholas Girls’ School and Singapore Chinese Girls’ School for the Integrated Programme (IP) may wish to note that they will spend their first four years in their respective secondary schools, before progressing to a new government JC to complete their six-year IP course.

The new Junior College will offer the Music Elective Programme, the Bicultural Studies Programme and the Humanities Scholarship Programme. Mdm Cheang Mei Heng will be the Principal of the new Junior College.

                        Latest update (13 April 2015)

Due to changes in design parameters to meet planning requirements by the relevant agencies, the new JC’s permanent site at the junction of Sin Ming Avenue and Marymount Road has been targeted to be completed by end-2019.

The former Raffles Junior College (RJC) site at Mount Sinai Road will operate as the new JC’s interim campus. The site will be appropriately spruced up, fully furnished and equipped with the necessary facilities and resources in time for the new JC’s start in January 2017.
