      mamatweety:
Hi, any recommendation for ballet classes for 4-year-old in the east (Katong/Mountbatten area)?

for those staying in the North :
can try Toa Payoh West cc
(Exit D : from Toa Payoh MRT station)

Ms Chua is patient, gentle spoken, with young children

With effect from May 2015, from RAD Grade 1 onwards :
Ballet lessons training conducted at Toa Payoh West cc become 1.5 hrs lengthened per lesson (no more 1 hr per lesson, as was in the past)
Thus, parents need to bring children down to train ballet only once per week : no need twice per week any more, because difficult for some parents to bring child down, for twice a week training long term commitment.

Learning ballet is a long term commitment, because after pass RAD Grade 1, still need to move onto Next Grade 2, Grade 3, etc, all the way up to Grade 8.

Ballet is a long term commitment, in the same way as learning piano, from Grade 1 all the way up to Grade 8.

Some of us parents who bring our dd attend ballet twice a week lose steam halfway, because twice a week commitment for ballet week after week, is very tiring.

Good luck to all taking their RAD Ballet exams 🙂

All the best, to those taking RAD exam, starting this week for some, and to others next week, & on 20, 21 April

Twice a week is only during preparation for RAD exams right i.e. from around October - April? Then back to once a week (1 hour each) after exams. So with the change, your DD does not need to go for extra coaching class even in preparation for RAD exams?

with the change, from May 2015 to April 2016 (One whole year round), at that cc :
every week attend 1.5 hr lesson, once per week only, whole year round.

no more 1 hr each : because 1 hr mean got to come down twice per week, 6 months before April

Try Bukit Panjang cc. Heard the ballet teacher is good.

Good move... equally spread throughout the year.
