I have been having phlegm in the morning. Have to use a lot of strength to spit it out.


These few days, the phlegm comes out with some blood. I do not know whether the blood is from brushing teeth or from the throat.

Same for clearing the mucus in the nose. There is some spots of blood.

hmm ... whatever do you mean by that? My sisters are related to me by blood. We are even born to the same parents. I'd meant I don't just have 5 sisters if I understand your post correctly.

As far as I know, this is not a symptom for thyroid disorder.

Blood in phlegm could mean different things. My ex once experienced blood in his phlegm and the doctor straight away tested him for tuberculosis. Do let the doctor know about this and ask for the possibility/ies or reasons why this is happening.

The GP checked my lungs which are cleared.

May I know what it means if TSH is too low and out of the range and the rest of the readings are ok. Is it considered as thyroid problem?

If you cough hard, you may break some surface blood vessels in the throat. Maybe ask your doctor or pharmacist for something that will thin the phlegm and make it easier to cough out?

[/quote]sorry sorry!! Pls accept my apologies! I misunderstood your post. When u said the list is not exhaustive, I assumed you were referring to those 结拜姐妹 and thus you have many many sisters.

Just something that works for me, is taking 1small spoon of manuka ( umf 5) or even normal honey last thing before bed.I swallow slowly like coating my throat with honey .

Also , if it is hard to remove phlegm , drink a couple of sips of something warm ( even water will do) to soothe and loosen before clearing your throat.
