My DD ex-classmates in Y1 of these 3 affected schools are trying to get out but those with DSA commitment feel that they are stuck by the contractual agreement.

Would You Apply IP for CHS, SNGS & SCGS For DSA 2015

I am of the opinion that most students and their parents will not be very keen in joining these schools' IP this year but things will slowly pick up once their confidence are restored.
On the other hand, some may want to take advantage of the situation and go ahead to apply for IP DSA, since the chances of being selected may be higher now with presuming less competition. -

Agree. No regrets choosing SNGS IP as our first choice last year. We were also considering another IP school that is aligned with an established JC but at the end of the day, we decided to put more emphasize on the 4 years of secondary school. Because that is where she will build the foundation for subjects that she will be taking for the 'A' levels and where her character will be most moulded. Even though she has only been in SNGS a few months, we can already see that DD is more confident, independent and outgoing which we attribute to her being in a school that nurtures well. -

Wow, you are the very tua kong (big stuff or bro ) hor ?
If this case can even see LHL personally (rather than HSK), then many even bigger issues won't be hanging around .. -

If PM Lee say, \"let all the badly affected students from Yishun, Woodlands, Sembawang, Punggol, Sengkang, far North, Far East, use Bishan ITE premises\", issue with Mount Sinai would be settled, right ?
Sotongmax,
Is your child one of the badly affected student, or actually not in any of these 3 schools ?
If your child not studying in these 3 schools, not staying in the badly affected areas, you will not feel the sense of urgency & panic, because you are not in their shoes, in the first case -

If they all come together and hold a tua press conference and invite all the press then present petition to MOE for the pressing issues, will it work if it will look like present petition rather than complain about MOE or LTA or SJI fault meet-the-parents session? :scratchhead: -

Sorry, my kids have long past this stage. I am not saying this because of your alleged assumption.
My question to you - Is this the biggest national issue that can guarantee personal attention of government leader(s) when far greater problems of national proportion are cast aside and not even addressed.
How many petitions have gone down the drain ? Please answer this question to find solution to your own answer. -

Time will tell if the govt will step in but there are parents who are optimistic about the matter
