Bishan JC not specific enough : because there are two JCs in Bishan (RI and new JC).lee_yl:
The Bishan-Mt Sinai JC
Ok I think Bishan JC still the best since most people want the kid to study in Bishan.
But people don't want Mt Sinai so seems like rubbing salt ... :scratchhead:
So Bishan JC should satisfy everyone!
Then people will ask, which Bishan JC, is your child in ? -

In this forum there are some trouble creators ; they themselves know who they are if they even have a conscience.
Some are self indulgent and some are probably showing worrying signs of some forms of sickness.....anyway, those with genuine concerns or Good Samaritan spirit should continue to voice out their concerns so that the session on 25/5 will be a fruitful one .
I suggest taking bus/train in the morning from areas like amk, yishun to the mt Sinai site to record the time taken and traffic condition. Also from 3 pm to 8 pm back to these areas and probably record the time taken to walk from mrt to the site. Some suggest the areas is unsafe , probably can take pictures at night to study the area . Jc students finish school much later than the primary school students . -

No wonder it's taking the school so long to come up with a name for the JC. It really isn't easy and you have to satisfy the wants of three different parties. Not easy at all.
Has the school sought the feedback of the 3 parties for naming the JC yet? :? -

But this kind of confusion should be rare. For example Jurong JC and RVH are both JCs in Jurong. DHS, VJC, TJC are JCs in the east etc... -

Contrary to your belief, I am doubtful they would like Bishan JC.lee_yl:

If they really want Bishan, Bishan Institution (B.I.) is better than B.J.C.
B.I. in the commercial world refers to Business Intelligence so this acronym is fine but not the other one, it may be making a mockery of the students unwittingly. -
I can tell you without a single doubt that BJ College is just not right!!

True. No one will call RI as 'Bishan JC' when referring to Raffles Institution since it's such an established and iconic name here.

There'll be downstream issues to consider.Nebbermind:
Since MOE is the boss, they can always make such transfer possible.
Can you elaborate what \"downstream issues\" you have in mind? Thanks.
