[quote=\"lee_yl\"]This is just like the non-stop argument about distance and walking time, now when there is talk about nighttime safety in the area, this group of forumers would just appear

For affected parents, it is about information sharing and those who are concerned can just make a trip down to the Ghim Moh area behind the side-gate of the school at night to see for yourselves. If there is a need for better lit paths and more street lights, please raise it during the dialogue session on 25 May.

We \"appear\" because we've studied at Mt Sinai before, know people living in that area and/or live around that area. I don't think it's that bad. I'm sure if these concerns are valid, MOE will contact Christopher De Souza, MP for Ghim Moh and work something out there.

But does it mean after adding all the lights and increase frequency of patrols, parents will be willing to go to Mt Sinai? :scratchhead:

there are some GCB in Mt Sinai but not as exclusive as Queen Astrid Park on the other side of Ulu Pandan. A number of nice condos further up Mt Sinai from the school site. The school site is nearer to Ghim Mog food centre and Ulu Pandan CC. Ghim Moh block 10 etc were demolished for SERS, but the rest were upgraded. Some of my classmates who are retired stay there - those upgraded ones; some use as investment HDB flats to rent out while stay in landed nearby

Dr Chia is another very responsive MP.

For those who really want to know abt the TEL or NSE work progress from the horse's mouth (instead of from MOE), please go to MOS of Transport, Mrs Josephine Teo's MPS tomorrow night at 8.00pm:

I'm more curious what CCA holds the kids back past dinner time. Surely if there's safety concerns, parents can request that all CCA must end no later than, say, 7pm

lol .... most cca end by 7pm. It's the kids themselves want to stay behind chit chat chit chat.

Then better not bring it up during dialogue

                  So there...

                    This is so DISGRACEFUL
Please do not tarnish the name of RJ with your unrelenting ungracious vindictive attitude. Go read fellow alumnae Sandra Leong's letter dated Apr 3 2010 \"Scoring high in grades but not in values\"

So in summary, instead of helping MOE to market Mt Sinai positively, it leaves a worser impression about Mt Sinai. 😂

MOE wonders if these detractors are helping them or stabbing them...their job on 25 May is in fact made tougher by so much animosity shown to the aggrieved group.

                      Questions:
                      1. If they successful get another interim site within Bishan or if MOE can try to put them back in Bishan ITE with conditions attached, will the detractors be unhappy? Why? :?

                      2. If MOE agreed to the transfers given the results must match the JC they want to transfer to, will the detractors be unhappy? why? :?

For me, any win-win outcome, I will :celebrate: to both parties.

Just to give your some confidence boosting, I have worked out a number of win-win solutions with different government sectors before. They seriously listen and if you put up a proper and reasonable case, you at least earn yourself a chance to be listened and will not live with any regrets that you have not tried and just silently accept what has been dished out to you. Do not be bitter or disappointed if say, the outcome is not favourable because the experience is also very precious for your future causes. I strongly believe the days of \"I say, you listen\" is diminishing if our education has given us the means to earn the rights of \"You say, I listen\" from them. My experience tells me they welcome good ideas too. But if we adopt the \"you wrong, I right\" and bulldozes through case, then that would not work either...so work on your case and don't spend any more time fighting a futile argument here.

Come here to ask for information if you need and see if a good Samaritan picks it up and replies you.

It is really disgraceful some parents resort to MISinformation just because they don’t like the place and this is not their promised land.

First about distance then about being an unsafe place. Really disgraceful

And not happy when pointed out they are fear mongering among the parents.

MOE and LTA and Home team won’t just accept all these nonsense as truth. Hope they won’t be pressured by unhappy parents.
