2016 P1 Registration Exercise for 2017 In-Take
-
hi missinex,
had given up the idea of targeting ‘branded’ schools and choose for the nearest one to my place. it’ll either be new town pri (the closest) or queenstown pri. actually all the charts i don’t quite understand.
for the bar chart, if there’s purple (phase 2c supp), it means there were still vacancy for the sch at 2c supp stage? what does 200% mean for the legend? then for the table, TUR and APP is making me confused…
sorry, really hopeless with these… -

TUP - Take up rate ( number or percentage of people who applied and got in successfully)hi missinex,

APP - Application (number or percentage of people who apply)
if the purple portion represents the TUR(take up rate) or the percentage of places taken up in that phase, out of 100%.
Judging by the chart and the school (queenstown pri) you are aiming, Phase 2C is pretty safe for you if you are staying within 1km, 2km and beyond, or even if you are a foreigner. The school's available vacancies are not even completely filled at the end of the P1 registration.
Any season KSP forumer feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. -

Hi all,
Need advice for the experts here.
My daughter is due for P1 in 2017. I am currently eligible for rosyth under phrase 2A2. However, I am residing in Sengkang. worried about the travelling time for my child.
The sengkang schools within my area are Sengkang Primary, Compassvale Primary and Rivervale Primary. Should I try for phrase 2C instead?
I still got 1 boy and 1 girl due for P1 in 2019 and 2021 respectively. TIA

Sengkang is not far from Rosyth.
A lot of parents are fighting hard to enter Rosyth. You have priority n 3 kids to consider.
If I am in your shoes, my first choice will be Rosyth, no headache of getting in. -
I agree with zbear. From Sengkang to Rosyth not very far. It is a waste to give up your priority when so many other parents are fighting to get in.
-
What’s the distance between rosyth and sengkang? Does it require balloting for the past 1-2 years under phase 2A2? If there is no balloting, then it is preferable to go for Rosyth because it is co-Ed.
-
Stay Sengkang and register child in Roysth for Phase 2A2 happened to my ex-colleague before. Her two children in Roysth. Advice: Just get used to the distance and early mornings.
-
Since you have three kids, I say, go to rosyth. If distance is too much of an issue, shift over to Serangoon North. It’s easier to shift house than to get into the school you want.
