Can parents of past DSA applicants share on what will be tested for English and Chinese? Thanks in advance.

For last year, I remember Chinese was 2 comprehension. For English, I only remember part of it - the students were given an article on the Anton Casey incident and were asked to write a diary as if they were Anton Casey himself.

My ds is now in Sec 1 and I can share that for the first year, the teacher focuses alot on news articles where the boys will write reflections/analysis. They are also using the \"Journey to the West\" novel (extract edition) for discussion. They are still using the normal HCL textbook (although not all the chapters are covered).

Your boy should be able to do well.
