        MMM:
I heard from my mum that my auntie went to queue at 3am in order to get a place for my cousin in MBS. So those days were like.... first come first serve style 😉

in certain places up north, the parents camp there as early as a few days

          LOLMum:
i rather have pv, clan/church priority than having have to let my kid go for entrance exam/interview in order to get into a popular kindergarten or primary school like what is happening in hong kong.

parents there pay top money for the kids to attend entrance exam/interview preparation courses. all kinds of certificates (i remember reading about some1 submitting her kid's brushing teeth winning certificate as wel) are submitted and boy the stress is definitely greater than ours. sometimes the kid might score well in the entrance exams but if he has a few lesser certs than another kid, he might lose out.
and one of my staff actually moved house from Shatin to HK Island to get into that choice school........no diff from our kiasu people

You may like to find out more information from the http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?t=462 thread. I believe you can find answers to your questions there.

For CHIJ (TP), to get into P2B, you need to be a church member.

BTW, you haven't reported at the Newbie thread yet, right? Perhaps you would like to report there so that we can give you a formal welcome? It's kinda SOP in KSP.com. 😉

After you have completed the required hours, you submit your time sheet to the admin staff. The school will send you a letter nearer the registration period to state that you qualify to register under Phase 2B. Parents, pls correct me if I'm wrong as school regulations are always changing.

Tao Nan sent me a hardcopy letter (I think it was a form-template) sometime close to the end of Jun holidays.
