Agreed. That is the reason why i always sent back to the designated agent for servicing...but really ex...one time go into the Hospital like maybe about 500?

My last one cost me $720. 😢 :moneyflies:

But it is proportionate to the cost of the item and if it hardly breaks down(like mine but *touchwood*), ammortise it, works out about the same.
True, it hardly breaks down, but still my 10-year old omega doesn't need such servicing leh.

        Still a good investment right?

No, cos cannot sell back type. It's just a feel-good number.

BTW, used to have a colleague who is an avid watch collector. He's really good at spotting the next hot brand and would buy before prices popped. He doesn't resell though.

        Blobbi,
do you still keep in contact with him? can check with him what brands we should look out for now?
I'm interested to know too... deciding whether to get JLC or some other brands.

        :please:
Be mindful where you send your watches for servicing too.
BIL's Tag and Breitling inside kena change to seiko parts, found out when he brought back to agent.

how often do you need to service watches? My 10 yr old Omega watch was serviced once long time back... while my 10 yr old Tag has not been service at all... 🙏
Same here, my omega hasn't been serviced before, only change battery with the authorised agent - cost $50.

However, for the more expensive watch, I'm told that we should bring in the watch for service every 4-5 years?

For mechanical watch, even though no need to replace battery, there is certain fluid that needs to be replaced cos' will dry up.

Can anyone recommend on a good pair of flats? Are Tods and Lavin flats nice and durable.

                I like Hermes bags.

Never tried Tods & Lanvin. I tried some others but like Ferragamo the best. Very comfortable:D

Clarks have a good range of flats, especially those with air cushion.
I find their design rather conservative, but they are comfortable.
                    Wow.... hermes..... expensive taste!
