may i know if the child did not take HCL during PSLE, does he/she still stand a chance for CCHY? Do they look at the HCL result? Thanks.

yishun is not a SAP school, if I am not mistaken.

So HCL score is not taken into consideration.

CCHM at Goodman is the SAP sec school. The branch in Yishun has NA stream, if I'm not mistaken.

From the website looks like only Express stream students will be taking HCL. I had a friend's son studying there, did not take HCL in primary school. So far I see that he is coping quite ok.

Every school is a good school, as mentioned by our MOE :rahrah: . Not too sure about the HCL part, you may want to visit their open house on 21 Nov to understand more about the school?

My younger son is in secondary 3 express this year, and will be taking O levels next year. I am a bit worried for him, as he is playful and not mature yet.


In particular, his A maths is of major concern. He got C6 for SA2. But he said the entire sec 3 cohort did badly. I heard that this year O level A maths is very difficult. I don’t know if the school is preparing them well, and whether they can be ready for the O’s by next year.

My boy did well for Physics and Chem. He told me he used the right guidebooks "Smashing Exams". Alot of the school’s worksheets and test questions came from them.

He did ok for Humanities. B3 and B4.

His languages are weak tough. C grades.

I don’t see him studying at all during the holidays. He said he is exhausted, esp after the SPA experiments after SA2. Is your child studying during the holidays? I hope I can motivate him.
