Eligibility Criteria for MTL ‘B’
Key changes
MTL ‘B’ syllabus may be offered from Secondary 1. Students with Grade C and below in MTL at PSLE will be allowed to take MTL ‘B’.
Those with learning disabilities, e.g. dyslexia, ADHD, autism and hearing impairment, will also be considered. Students with severe disabilities will be exempted totally from the MTL requirement.
Secondary schools have the flexibility to allow other students to offer MTL ‘B’, taking into consideration the student’s performance, language ability and the standard that he can achieve with reasonable effort.
Students who re-enter our education system (e.g. students who return from overseas) and are unable to cope with the MTL syllabus will be considered for the MTL ‘B’ syllabus.

I’ve checked with the doctor…she also checked with the medical officer who liaises with SEAB for my daughter’s case. she has assured me that based on daughter’s disability with her 3 subjects, she would be fully exempted from MT.

We are hoping that she can at least go to NA in Secondary school.nicnac:
I am also hoping my Niece will be able to do standard subjects.. After her SA1, her teacher told her mum that it is very risky if she does not improve in the 2nd semester.. She managed to pass by 1 mark for her SA2..but not sure if it is enough to clear the hurdle. Then, the other subjects too  .. She is also exempted from MTL.
I am worried if she is allowed to do standard subjects. There is improvement but it also depends on the teacher/principal. Not sure if she can clear the hurdle...like your niece.
I worry if she can cope with the PSLE next year because looking at her school papers, they are set at an average standard...nowhere near the TOP School Exam Papers. She usually sos (WhatsApp) me for help in her Math homework. EL Composition is one major problem but I can't help in that area. We only hope that she gets her basic Grammar and Content marks.... Borderline pass :xedfingers: .Then Science answering technique is another

express course in secondary school is very tough. if she can't go into express, we are ok to her doing NA. science OE is a killer subject. for math, she has cleared the Section A & B...some improvement since SA1. -

You can visit the Tuition thread for more discussions. The centres with many branches are Mindstretcher, Just Education, Mavis, Kent Ridge etc. Hard to recommend one particular one as we are not sure which subjects you are looking at, your budget and also your kid's learning style. Hope you can find a good centre after reading through the tuition centre thread. -
If all P5 4 x subjects at 80 what will be est T score likelihood in PSLE ? Likewise if results at P5 avg 75 across all subjects will be the likelihood Tscore in PSLE?

u can rough gauge to multiply by 0.7
However p5 n p6 difficulty is some jump again . -
Looks like needs to be 85 for all subjects to have Tscore of est 238.

supposing daughter takes 1 foundation subject, can she still qualify for NA?
