If all P5 4 x subjects at 80 what will be est T score likelihood in PSLE ? Likewise if results at P5 avg 75 across all subjects will be the likelihood Tscore in PSLE?

u can rough gauge to multiply by 0.7
However p5 n p6 difficulty is some jump again .

Yes...there are also others who have sat for two foundation papers qualifying for NA streams. It boils down to the T-score attained at PSLE.

However I am not sure how scores for foundation papers are calculated. From observation, I have come across a good number of kids who have done at least two foundation papers scoring better T-scores than kids doing all standard papers in NA stream.

Good to check with school though. 😄

Is there a possibility to repeat P6 nowadays?

                  thanks for your advice.

science tutor & myself have been working hard to coach daughter...the open-ended section is weak although the SA2 paper wasn't that difficult. I am afraid her overall grades will be dragged down if she takes standard science in P6. my hubby & I are prepared for her to do NA in secondary.

daughter just called me from school.

she said she will be taking standard subjects next year.
the science tutor gave me something to think about…if she is weak, standard science might affect overall grades because it is really not easy for someone academically weak. i’m really at a loss now.

since school has offered your girl P6 standard Science, means school confident that she can do it. Hence, let her try first.

If after trying find that need to switch, next year 2016 by end of Term 2, can switch over to Foundation Science ?
call up SEAB, confirm by when latest : can a P6 student switch over from Standard Science, to Foundation Science ?

(because seems like a waste, if don’t try Standard Science)
do give her lots of encouragement, every little slight improvement made, praise her, don’t compare her with her classmates.

At the same time, find out from school how they compute T-score, for Foundation science against Standard science subject, might be different

                        What is the implication?
                        Taking standard versus foundation subject.
