      sun sun sun:
Anyone has any reviews of Sylvia McCully Dance Studio at thomson plaza?

If you live near to Thomson Plaza, you can try to go for their trial class. I'm not sure if they still do trial class or not. I heard the teacher is very strict and if your child is the type that doesn't like super strict ballet teacher, I will not recommend you to go there. However, if you are very particular about teachers that are very strict will be very good ballet teachers, then I believe this will be a good fit for you.

Personally, I have friends' daughters learning at Sylvia McCully @ Thomson Plaza. They gave the thumbs up for Ms Sylvia McCully but be pre-warned, she is very strict.

Do act fast if DD wish to take the RAD ballet examination in April 2016. Many schools have already started the coaching sessions and those stricter teachers may not allow your child to take part if she has not completed the full coaching term.

My daughter’s ballet Tr have already given out forms to parents who intend to sign up their girl for 2016 April RAD exam.

                    If want, better act fast

Are you open to ballet school? If yes, a tuition-mate's mummy strongly recommend this one below because:
                      1. They have a scholarship programme for those who perform well.
                      2. Performance opportunities and roughly 1 or 2 overseas competitions to take part each year ( usually in HK or Shanghai)
                      3. Strict teachers ( but child may not like) with vast experience, for example, some were from Beijing 少年宫,Russian dance academy etc
                      4. Prescribed set of stretching exercises to do every night etc
                      5. Most of their students get distinction for RAD exams

But she warned that it is a very tough programme and the child may cry initially and parents have to be very supportive ( her dd is in the scholarship programme).

                        Hi, FantasyLandDreams,

Thanks for your reply and recommendation however my DD current school also has such programme and she is part of them. I understand how tough it is and therefore want to switch to a simpler environment.
