Homosexuality

During a discussion, dd was asking, \"Do parents rather solve their kids BGR or lesbian relationship?\"
I told her \"BGR is a matter of the appropriate timing, there is nothing wrong with BGR. Lesbian, regardless when, its always not correct.\"

We will have to agree to disagree here.... The Universe has some Natural Laws...and the mating of male and female species is one of them. Mankind will try to defy anything they can in the name of creativity. Sometimes too smart for our own good for self-gratification. The rapid diminishing of the ozone layer is one such example. And is AIDS not a wilful act of mankind too? Of course there are rules to Mother Nature but being defiant is never ending...Wat is normal and natural is a matter of perception.... wat is normal, natural and accepted in one culture and society may not be so in another......
Frankly, I felt uncomfortable too when I see those male Indian workers holding hands on the streets bt I learnt to respect their culture.....
Homosexuality is like a cult belief, once you start promoting it is ok and natural, you must be able to accept its dire consequences. -

Sorry. But why do you assume that by the fact that I understand the topic in greater depth, I must belong to a gay supportive organisation or I am gay? This is too big an assumption. And does it has anything to do with the information I provide?
I said similarities, that's the reason why I asked the question so as not to make inaccurate assumptions. I think you can say that I'm a pretty straightforward anad direct person who doesn't want to waste time making wrong accusations.WeiHan:
Seriously, nicks are really subjective with no biological/research evidence. So I dare not say that you are physically male or female. But if you are indeed using your name as a nick, it can really go either ways too, male = ไผ็ฟฐ๏ผๅจๆฑ or female = ่ๆถต๏ผ ็ฎๅฏAnd by my forum nickname, you assume that I am indeed male?
WeiHan:
Hehe... He's really is! Not ashamed to tell us after he thought that he was gay. He's a nice guy too, just that I just can't get that conventional thinking of mine out of my minute little brain and talk to him like a normal person. But I still respect what he is!Your ex-boss is really quite funny to me.
WeiHan:
It is indeed important! If you insist, I can tell you who I am related with that allows me an apportunity to know a little more in this topic. In fact, I have read many of these materials some years back. But are these important? :?
Just like researchers funded by certain organizations will have studies done up (or you could say 'tilted' or 'geared') towards the idea of the fund-ers. Garmen continues to believe that milk is the best formula to build up calcium and promotes milk in the country, that hence allows commercials and marketing gimmicks geared towards that direction to make consumers believe. Studies/Researches not published (or you can say not 'popular') just because the governments of those countries are against the idea. And even a small me in this big universe, read up details and bought books in the topics that I'm keen to know about. Erm, so that I can try to be or have similar knowledge to become what I want to be? -
ks2me:
I totally agree
We will have to agree to disagree here....
Wat abt u?
Let me post an old news fr Reuters:
(Reuters) - Singapore's powerful former prime minister Lee Kuan Yew, acknowledging the view that some people are genetically destined to be homosexual, has questioned the city-state's ban on sex between men.
World
\"If in fact it is true, and I have asked doctors this, that you are genetically born a homosexual -- because that's the nature of the genetic random transmission of genes -- you can't help it. So why should we criminalize it?\" Monday's Straits Times, a pro-government daily, quoted Lee as saying.
Under Singapore law, a man who is found to have committed an act of \"gross indecency\" with another man can be jailed for up to two years, though prosecutions are rare.
But Lee -- who remains the most powerful minister in the cabinet of his son, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong -- said Singapore should not actively pursue homosexuals who engage in sex.
Lee said that while homosexuality was not widely accepted in Singapore, authorities must take a pragmatic approach.
\"Let's not go around like this moral police ... barging into people's rooms. That's not our business,\" he told a weekend meeting with the youth wing of the People's Action Party, Singapore's ruling political party.
In November, the Ministry of Home Affairs said it was considering decriminalizing oral and anal sex between consenting heterosexual adults, but not between homosexuals.
The authorities have banned gay festivals and censored gay films, saying homosexuality should not be advocated as a lifestyle. But, despite the official ban on gay sex, Singapore has a thriving gay scene.
Lee's comments come at a time when many groups, such as Singapore's Law Society, are clamoring for a review of the laws against homosexual sex, which they view as outdated and archaic.

And perhaps from a neutral source like WikiAnswers (tho some may beg to differ)
Is homosexuality a result of nature or nurture?
Some differing opinions:
Science is coming up with new theories every day in regards to the issue of gender identity and sexual orientation, but most likely a persons sexual orientation is a complex combination of both nature and nurture. Many scientists believe sexual orientation is perhaps due in part to evironment (primarily during fetal development.) Sexual orientation may also be determined in part by genetics, hormone levels.
There are different opinions about the subject, but I say homosexuality is a choice that is made by the individual.
Correction: Opinions are not needed here. There is strong evidence that it is both ways.
This is highly debated, but there is strong evidence to prove that it is biological (or natural, genetic).
Could be either or both, depending on the person.
I rest my case. Let's all agree to disagree :celebrate: -
Why bring in LKY? Is he an expert in this area? :?
Honestly, he does not have to care, only if it becomes a problem. -
The relevance? Simply becuz I believe a man of his stature, position and prominence wld not make such statements lightly to the press and must have consulted and verified with doctors/experts as well as careful consideration on the impact on our social fabric.
Of course u r free to make ur own judgement on tat and disagreeโฆpeace -

Yeah...Muffins:
Hi Kiasimom, I have actually had two experiences with these types of people, in p5, and in p6, but I still do not think that we should discriminate people due to the fact that they like people of the same gender. You should just decide on whether you are comfortable with them being your friends or not, and explain to them. Just my 2 cents worth.

Exactly. I feel we should not discriminate them. It is their personal choice.

On the contrary, I thought his speech was relevant after I read the details but I am sure we both caught different nuances from his speech. The relevance?
