The name sounds girly, do not see how Catholic High boys are involved
Besides, if u break up the 3 sound syllabus, the last 2 sound syllabus ... Sound like nonya food, or nonya ladies.
Whether food related or nonya Persnakan girls involved (perhaps more apt for SCGS girls), the name of this JC sounds ... Feminine

When you say aloud this name Eunonia : do you feel associated or related to St Nick or Catholic High strong missionary heritage background ?
      Zero !

If can't compromise with scgs girls, the sng and chs pupils can tell them : you nonya, we aren't.\"

Wasn't pleased with the name too. It sounds too nonya or like in a street road in Eunos.
Given both SNG and CH are SAP schs except for SCGS, wouldn't it be simple to name as ''SAP JC\" instead.

Seriously, why choose a Greek name for a government institution?? We were still joking about some posh French names for the JC months ago. The leaders might have taken a leaf from those suggestions. :faint:

The more obscure the name/language, the more atas it is mah
Now that French speakers so ไฟ—, maybe MOE thought Greek will raise the atas quotient.

                    You-know-ah? I donโ€™t know.

The Greek name Eunoia has no link or significance to the 3 feeder schools. So what if Eunoia means "beautiful mind" (ๆƒณๅพ—็พŽ ๅˆไธญ๏ผ‰? Anyone who has been a parent before would know that if oneโ€™s surname is ่ƒก, do not name his baby ่މๆ™ถ, else the child will be teased for the rest of her life.

Previously, many forummers suggested many other nice names like "College By the Park" etc, I think more atas and more relevant to the local context.

Guess it's IJC, about 10 years old now. Innova.
....Innova, Eunoia...herrm.. they rhyme, like a lazy or toothless way of pronouncing innova. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Hope taxi drivers don't get confused.

                        Eunoia JC, 2016

Maybe it's a new trend from 2015. I reckon Quinoa, Paranoia, Euphoria to come next.
