      You-know-ah? I don’t know.

The Greek name Eunoia has no link or significance to the 3 feeder schools. So what if Eunoia means "beautiful mind" (想得美 初中)? Anyone who has been a parent before would know that if one’s surname is 胡, do not name his baby 莉晶, else the child will be teased for the rest of her life.

Previously, many forummers suggested many other nice names like "College By the Park" etc, I think more atas and more relevant to the local context.

Anyone knows what is the previous JC before this new JC? When was that and what is the name? Thanks.

Guess it's IJC, about 10 years old now. Innova.
....Innova, Eunoia...herrm.. they rhyme, like a lazy or toothless way of pronouncing innova. 😂 Hope taxi drivers don't get confused.

The 2 JCs established post 2000 are:

          Innova JC, 2005
          Meridian JC, 2003
          So now we have,

          Eunoia JC, 2016

Maybe it's a new trend from 2015. I reckon Quinoa, Paranoia, Euphoria to come next.

Seriously, why choose a Greek name for a government institution?? We were still joking about some posh French names for the JC months ago. The leaders might have taken a leaf from those suggestions. :faint:

The more obscure the name/language, the more atas it is mah
Now that French speakers so 俗, maybe MOE thought Greek will raise the atas quotient.

Greece in crisis, new JC planning also in crisis..bingo!

Could have been worse. Like SingaporeChineseCatholicNicholas JC. Or BeautifulAndSoundMind JC.

              Think positive. 😉

More classic names would be better in local context. Maybe something like Oxford Junior College, Cambridge Junior College, Stanford Junior College, etc…

Haha ! I like yr new trend names if only these names for condo.
This reminds me in the late 1990s, the condos are named w Tower as Sherwood Towers, Trellis Towers, Fernwood Towers. Now, the names are w Residences like Bartley Residences, Canberra Residences, Foresque Residences. A trend indeed.
