HCstudent:
Hello. I will be a sec 1 student in hwa chong on 4th of jan. Im an iSpark student. There are apparently no big difference between iSpark and other students except for a 20% curriculum difference.
Hi. How would one know if he is in i sparks? Is the class list out already? -
iSparks house the GEP students and some PSLE high-scorers (maybe 270ish above?) Other than that, the rest are all spread across Aphelion, Ortus and ProEd. One of the consortium also house the Malaysian scorers. Year 2015 happen to house in Aphelion. Irregardless of which consortium the kids are in, I believe all the kids are doing fine and enjoying life in HCI.
-
During registration they would have invited all ispark students to go to a room to have a briefing by Mr Eugene Chua (Assistant director of iSpark).
-
To be eligible for iSpark you have to perform well in DSA tests and the PSLE/be in GEP. So yeah.

Thanks for the information. Yeah I am sure the kids do fine and enjoy HCI regardless of consortium. As it is, the campus and friendly environment are already good to look forward to.
DS was in GEP in primary school however we were not informed of class/consortium allocation nor attended any briefing... maybe there's a change in directive or something. -
Do HCI provide lockers for the students to rent?
Thanks,
CK -

The briefing is for high ability kids that made the mark to join the gep Isparks. Gep students did not attend the briefing as they already know what gep is all about. -

If I remember correctly, there are lockers in each classroom (two boys share one), but my boy doesn't use them. He leaves his things under his desk.Do HCI provide lockers for the students to rent?
Thanks,
