Couldn't agree with you better, Way2GO. 2 cases involving ACS :slapshead: What does it say about ACS? A thorough investigations and damage control time. How the schools handle these incidents will affect how the students will eventually turn out as future leaders. :gloomy:

Really disgusted to hear about the case of the boy who now suffers from permanent disabilities. As a mum, I told my son that even if he can make it to ACS, that school is a BIG NO NO for me. I really don't have a good impression of the school. Why 2 cases involving ACS??? I won't be surprised if the boy is really being spiked to react. The chinese saying goes, if there is no wind, there is no wave. But yes, it's not right for the SAS boy to react.

What's wrong with the values???? A ACS (primary) boy approached my kids during their enrichment class. He asked what school they are from and went to say... no wonder your breath smell. I happened to be there (though not standing with them as I was checking out some stuff) and I heard the whole conversation. I was like :x I went up to him and asked him... so what school do you come from???? He said ACS and I was like, no wonder, your breath smells really terrible. Kids found it amusing but I just wondered if the boy is always exposed to such sarcastic comments to be making that. Then I just walked off. We now call them the Annoying Childish students.

I also have encounters with primary level ACS boys, nothing flattering at all to talk about them. Quite a bunch of rottenly ill-behaved kids. The few I met was 100% bad so it set me thinking the sample I met was 100% rotten would it mean chances of meeting a good one is so remote?

DR Ong is the Principal of ACS(I) and not ACS(Barker) which is involved in the earlier case that involves Adhe Noviello.
          fyi
Yes I know. However, they are all part of ACS fraternity.

            LOLMum:

the mum of the acs boy has made a police report, am i right?

Yes. But more importantly, we are still waiting to hear what ACS would be doing for their boys' actions.

It is understandable for a mother's instinct to protect her kids.
However, I feel matters that occurred on a sporting field
should be resolved between individuals/teams involved
in as much as possible on the field.

Rugby is a physical, contact sport
If u taunt, prepare to get a reaction
If u play dirty or whack someone, expect a reaction too.
            A precedent is now set
Do players now go to the police everytime
            something like this happens?
Would one or both of the players continue
to lie in their police statements just to
            cover themselves?

Would the students then learn the right lessons?
Thus I think the best way for the boys to learn
n move forward from this incident is for
an honest closed door session between
the players involved n the principals, n maybe the parents.
            Shake on it after dat,
n the principals to impart the lesson(s) learnt n
right sporting values to their respective schools.

Really disgusted to hear about the case of the boy who now suffers from permanent disabilities.
We hv a case of a boy still lying in hospital
who is reporting likely to end up with permanent disability
after getting whacked by several ACS boys in a
              school's rugby game;
He has been there for some time.
It was reported that till now, neither ACS nor those
boys involved have yet to pay the patient a single visit
despite the seriousness of his condition.

We also hv a case of an ACS boy kena whacked by
an SA boy after taunting him in a game.
              This was front page news in the ST;
              a police report was made.

              Which case is more serious?
The disparity in how the two cases is handled is glaring
n ACS's silence/inaction in the first few days is deafening
n remains so in the former case.

Don't u all think ACS should at least show
some compassion for the boy lying in the hospital too?

I remember coming across some writing in this forum, that ACS is strong in Character Building.... so is it ACS (I) or ACS Barker...

Personally, I encountered some ACS boys, as colleagues, they were proud...

I wasn't following the news on ACS. I didn't think much about it until I read the news on the Bedok Sec school boy. Then I start to associate with the recent brawl. As mentioned earlier, I was utterly disgusted.

Was the news on the boy who will end up with permanent disability downplayed initially as compared to the latest news ????

So is the ACS who got beaten up in recent brawl going blind :? Or just have a black eye for a period of time? :scratchhead:

My son is in ACS..and in my encounters with his classmates and their parents, I've yet to meet anyone arrogant. My son has been to their homes for projects and they strike me as very hospitable and polite people.

                        😄
