The center said they will not return the money unless we find someone to replace…jialat…look like we have entered into a "black inn". We had filed our case to Case and Small Claim Tribunal. We don’t agree that they can base on small prints on the receipt (no refund) to confiscate our advance payment. The course has not even started and we are not denying anyone from the places in the center. No reason to confiscate our money.

Just sharing experience on this centre that we had.

We just realised that the teacher did not mark all the assignments and our kids result deteriorated drastically. Also, we have difficulty to send them to the center after my in law recent health conditions. Does Lemon Law or Case able to help?

        Thanks.
Which level is yr child in, that doesn't mark assignments ?

Did you ask the p5 teacher why she did not mark your child’s assignments ?

From what I understand - one teacher will teach a few classes, of the same level.

Are there any parents here with p5 kids, whose teacher do mark your child’s assignments ?

Actually you can email the school. They will reply to your complain.

My DD and niece had gone through Jiang’s P5 classes. They do mark their assignments, even at secondary level.

Perhaps you can request for a change of class or you can inform the office about it.

My DS had a very good teacher for p1 and first half of p2. Very committed and would often use her lunch hour to call me to feedback on his performance. I know to expect her call whenever I am too busy to monitor his work - the slippage can be as little as just an additional 1 or 2 more mistakes for ting xie from his normal standard. Other parents from the class also had good experience with this teacher.

There was a change in teacher for second half of p2. While Jiang did not change the teacher, I did notice that there is a change in the teacher’s style of teaching and classroom management as the term progressed.

DS has quite a good teacher this year.

Hi, if we join Jiang in the middle of the term, how is the fee payment like? We pay for the balance lessons in the term, or pay for full 20 lesson?

                  Thanks!

Pro-rated for fees but you will need to pay a fee - admin fee/service fee. I cannot remember what they call it.

You will get the full set of work and notes though as they are in the form of a booklet. Get your child to do the lessons missed on your own.

Each trimester is 20 weeks. (Ie. 6 months or half a year)
Jiang ask parents to pay school fees by 6 months basis, not by per term (3 months).

                      Example
Suppose your child already missed 7 lessons.
Suppose your child can only join from week 8 onwards.

So you need to pay only from (week 8 to week 20) lessons.
No need to pay for first 7 weeks' lessons ( because already missed)
Week number 20 is the last lesson.

But because the booklet is already bound up for child for the entire trimester, so you can still see what were the contents that had been been taught but missed, in the first 7 weeks. Parents can then revise with child At home - those topics that had been missed.
