Wow. This is a serious issue. I wonder if the teachers ever go in to inspect the hygiene standards.

Question - Teachers themselves didnt realise that or they dont go toilet? or Staff toilets dont have such problem? Not trying to dwell too much on it, but this is basic hygenic issues, and for a school like RGPS to happen, a bit not acceptable.
I wonder how long they take to familiarise with the 'new' school environment; which is often brought up as an excuse.

I think staff toilet don't have such issue. Teachers don't use students' toilets...I think.

                You really want some suggestions?
You sabo your own kid leh, no school near Kallang?

                1. Change school if distance is really bothering you as you had taken up a chance from some girl who lives close to school but did not manage to enter
Your girl suffer because she needs to wake up early to board school bus, and come back home late from school bus

                or

                2. Car pool with parents that are full time home makers and stays near your area to help

                3. Engage Uber driver (those that you familar with) to fetch your girl from school.

                4. Send your girl to some nearby student care centre, with her meals taken care off, while you make your way to fetch her after work

                5. GIVE UP work and be full time home maker, so you can send and fetch your girl!

                  Wow so honest opinions ๐Ÿ˜›

Anyway it's kind of true, if u stay far away you must have anticipated the long journey to and fro. I think one easy way to mitigate this is to get ur DD to use the bus time as nap time? My p1 reaches home via school bus at 235-245 every day (not very far off from yours). But she naps in the bus so when she gets home she's as fresh as new! So I kinda appreciate the bus time actually because otherwise it's so hard to get her to nap once she's home!!
Of course sometimes it's not easy to nap as they become buddies with their bus mates they tend to chat etc on journey home, but no harm training her for that power bus nap!

                        hi Clara,

There might possibly be more than one school bus, passing by your home in Kallang to Rgps (Hillcrest, Bukit Timah). You may speak to the Main co-ordinator, in charge of the entire Rgps school bus fleet.

I encountered similar situation to you before 2 years ago, when my daughter started P1 (back in 2014, to the temporary premises in Ghim Moh / Mount Sinai / Buona Vista area), while Hillcrest was under renovation.

What happened was later, I realized that actually, in fact there was more than one school bus, that happen to pass by my area.
The first school bus driver who contacted me back then in Dec 2013 (just before started P1), told me that my girl was the first one to board the bus, & last one to drop, if I take his school bus. (ie. FILO method).

After calling up the main operator in charge of Rgps entire school bus fleet to inquire further, realized that in fact, there was another school bus that passed by my area. Yes, I found another school bus driver who was able to pick up my daughter, the other way round, also belonging to Rgps fleet of school bus drivers. That is, my girl became the last one to board the school bus, but first one to drop off. (become LIFO method)
This alternative arrangement is so much better, as the situation reversed. My girl can leave house late, return home early.

Both the school buses drivers and school bus number vehicle plate, are different.

hence, do contact the main operator, to inquire.
hope you can solve your 3 pm dilemma.
3 pm is really a very long time to reach home, after 1.30 pm school dismissed, daily. Your poor daughter must be very tired.
They must have routed your poor girl round & round don't know how many roads/Expressway in Sg, before reaching home, 3 pm.
All the very best, to you !
