Not surprised that her CA1 didn't do as well as she would like to but that's life. Thankfully, CA1 is about 10% of overall score so there is not much loss if doesn't do well for CA1.

After this round, then the next round will begin again come Oct 2016. Is it necessary to go yearly exams? I may skip some if possible.

Anyone else RAD Grade 3, also earlier than 11 April ?
My DD's ballet exam is right after the March school holidays. It is on the first week of Term 2 (3rd/4th week March).
I prefer her ballet exam to be over ASAP as it is taking too much time away from her academic revision time. -
My ballet teacher at cc does allow skipping of exams, I.e the child still goes for lessons as per normal, but learn for interest sake and does not take exams. This year a few girls had tuition timing clashes with coaching class, so decided not to take exams this year. It depends on teachers actually, and whether they are ‘open’ to ‘skipping’ exams, or skipping grades.
And yes, I know of 2 cc last year whereby the RAD exam date is in first and 2nd week of March. -

Besides being a ballet Tr, she happen to be also Principal of her own ballet school.
true, whether can allow skipping of RAD grade or not, will depend on the Principal of each respective ballet centre.
Parents need to consult ballet Principal for approval, whether can skip one level of grade, or not.
some schools are very strict.
Eg
School of Ballet Academy (SBA), at Waterloo street, very strict.
My friend's daughter want to skip one grade. SBA don't allow. -

The twice a week ballet training is taking up far too much of our children time, leaving very little time for them to revise Term 1 work, as the kids are very tired, after twice a week tiring practice.
My friends daughters' CA1 in their primary schools also 10%, same as yours.
Though 10 % may seem little, but the amount of time & effort put in by their kids to prepare for CA1, is a lot. -
My Dd’s exam in scheduled on April 20 at 8.30am. Prior to her exams, her teacher had arranged for 4 special lessons where the children will dance along a pianist on the piano. Looking forward to it.
