2016 P1 Registration Exercise for 2017 In-Take

I think I am abit late here. .=) but never the less. .I still found my way into this thread. .my boy is in the 2017 registration too. .

Staying at sengkang, nearest school around are Fernvale and sk green , both are within 500m. Hoping to enrol to sk green but looking at the balloting history it is very stressful and the chances is like 50/50. Although birth rate for the year of tiger is lower but is still hard to judge as there are too many new Pr/ foreign residents.

Another way is to enrol for affiliated school under phrase 2B , but it is at bishan/amk. Always traffic congestion along the way and my kid has to wake up much earlier compared going to a nearby school. But if I dun try to enrol for phrase 2b and fail to enrol to sk green, which means will fall under 2Cs or go to Fernvale. I only prefer to go sk green instead.... shd I take go for phrase 2b which means my kid has less time to rest and more traveling time or should I just take the risk to ballot??? Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones....

We are SC, does it means we stand a higher chances and first priority will goes to us first instead of PR?

same as me, SKG and fernvale is like within 500M from my hse. .I gave up the idea totally after my bestie DD didn't get into SKG after 2C n 2C supplement. .she had to rush to fernvale Pri, lucky manage to get in at 2C supplement. .

gonna throw my DS into SAJS at potong pasir thru 2A(2) via his dad old boys. .close eyes n don't see. .

still thinking of this, I have my mum to look after him after sch thou. But if put student care, there would be teachers and peers to help out with sch work. .still contemplating. :?

consider a school nearer to home with student care within school compound.

Hi all! Registering my boy this yr too! In a dilemma coz I’m staying at tampines now and next to st hilda’s pri (my alma mater) . However next year end we are shifting to punggol, and there is Waterway primary right beside our new place (-_-‘’) … Any advice if i should place him in st hilda’s or waterway pri? If don’t put him in st hilda’s pri like very wasted haha


My boy has Selective Mutism , an anxiety issue and won’t speak to ppl in school… so afraid changing of school is too stressful for him…hai… headache…

u need to take note .. last year MOE changed rule , whichever address you used you must stay there for 30 months ..

The address used in the P1 Registration Exercise should be the parents’ official residential address as reflected on their NRICs. This address will be used to determine the home-school distance category, where required for consideration of priority in admissions.

The home-school distance category priority is given with the expectation that the family will reside at the address for the duration of the child’s primary school studies, as it is for the convenience and interest of the child.

In a small number of cases, there may be situations where the families are unable to remain at the address used for registration for the entire duration of the child’s primary school studies. Even so, a child who gains priority admission into a school through his/her distance category is required to reside at the address used for registration for at least 30 months from the commencement of the P1 registration exercise on 2 July 2015. If this condition is not met, MOE reserves the right to transfer the child to another school with vacancies, as the priority admission to the first school was based on the declared address used for registration.
