I see - thanks fluffy. So will be bumped to 2C - but no point trying at 2C if we donβt live within 1-2km, I suppose.

You can apply under 2B (if you qualify) or 2C. However, likelihood is if the school is already so filled, the phase 2B and 2C will end up subjected to distance from school and potential balloting as well.
I heard this year should not be that \"crowded\" due to it being \"tiger\" year P1 registration. No? -
Soupkambing:
Didn't you go find out from your alumni association the exact no. of alumni letters issued for this year's registration? Closing date to join was a year ago, and letters would have been mailed out before end of this June hols. Buffer 3-5 more last minute letters issued this week, as some alumni are working overseas who only return this week for P1 registration (albeit joining before 30 Jun 15).Hi! I have a question pertaining to Phase 2A(1) - first timer with P1 registration, sorry if this has been asked before. Suppose there is a need to ballot at this phase (*fingers crossed*), when would balloting take place and would those unsuccessful in the ballot be eligible to reapply at Phase 2A(2)?
Thanks!
Siblings phase 1 was closed way before the June hols and announcement on vacancies for 2A(1) was made on 2 Jul, so by looking at these 2 figures, you should be able to tell your odds by now.
If it's too late to find out the above, then wait till 8~10 pm tonight to check MOE's website for balance figure. They will inform you if you need to return for balloting after sieving out the <1km SC applicants first. If the <1km SCs fill the vacancies nicely, there won't be any balloting for 1-2km SCs.
The announcement of results for this phase is due 8 Jul. Balloting should take place any time from 6-8 Jul, if there's one at all. -
My nephew got into NYPS!

It won't be applied or rather, you will not be affected by the rule. The rule only penalises those who take advantage but in this scenario, you are moving closer or within the 1-2km range, it's not an issue.
lolz ..i also dun see reason why they want to penalise us if we do that lolz
Hi ptb7476, I have this question in my mind too! keke. Am wondering how MOE will apply the 30 months same residential address rule in this scenario.sun sun sun:
i have a dumb question
assuming i register my boy using 1-2km ...and he got in then i moved to a less than 1km range .. will MOE kick him out lolz
