Thanks for all the feed backs.

Yes, i went CHS yesterday afternoon to register. Out of the 28 available for P2A2, there are only 24 registered as stated in MOE web site and I am on number 23. So i guess my boy is in without need to ballot.
So now you if i want to register again at APS, i will need to deregister at CHS?

You will have to de register at CHS and proceed to APS to register.
Given the relative distance between them, you may want to allocate sufficient time for the de registration and registration process. It's going to be challenging as you will be right on the edge as you are < 2km. A couple of extra registration and you may face the ballot or not even have a chance at all.

Thanks again for all the valuable feedbacks i get here.

I will think it over thoroughly before the P2C starts and weight all factors before making my decision.

@Sembgal, thanks for sharing your experience.

Hi Nave, you are welcome. All the best to you.

If you really fix your mind on CH, you can always move house in 1 to 2 years time since it has been confirmed that your child has secured a vacancy at CH now.

it is a very big risk to take because 1) you are more than 2km 2) APS is popular and balloting could take place for SC staying less than 1km.

Now with the changes in psle scoring system, I think it would be better to choose schools which provide well rounded education , place emphasis on all acad subjects and are strong in Mother tongue too. It is not that effective to use strong subjects to pull up weaker subjects like Mother tongue, as the impact will be small.

with T score, strong subjects can pull up grades of weak ones, but with AL grading, grade of every subject will be individual?

Hi all, i am a FTWM staying in marine parade area. Headache about P1 registration as both Ngee Ann and Tao Nan are popular schools. We will be participating in phase 2C.

                      May I ask for opinions:
                      1. Which school should I go for? Tao Nan or Ngee Ann? In term of academic and environment, which is better?
                      2. Any other good school nearby if we cant get into both school?
                      3. Anyone has experience with The Giving Treehouse student care in Laguna Park?

                      Many thanks in advance.
