hi thx for the reply... but is there anybody that u know when applying thru online,they get the school for first.timer(phase 2c especially)?coz.so far I only know those that applied online didnt get the school of their choice and for those who go to the school and apply,some get the school and some do not get. hmmm..for convenient I can just apply online but wil they check.too? sorry..too curious..heh

If your friend applied online and didn't get the school- just check with her if she was called up for balloting. If she was not in the ballot, most likely she was not SC within 1 km of the school she applied for ( that is she did not qualify because the numbers applying was more than the places available.)
Internet application and going to the school does not make a difference otherwise. It is the eligibility for ballot. If the school you want to apply for is popular, check your distance to the school on omemap ( school query). Also you might want to check out P1 balloting history on kiasuparents for the particular school. This will give you an idea of your chances.
In the end if it comes to balloting, it depends on luck, not how you applied.

I registered my dau in CHIJ (Toa Payoh) under Phase 2B. I have been calling the school since yesterday and they can't give me the breakdown based on the number of applicants within 1km, 1-2km & more than 2km.. this is really stressful. How do I know what is my chances like?

If you're only looking at Toa Payoh area, you can only consider either First Toa Payoh or Guangyang. You can try Keng Cheng too, but I think your chance to get in will be lower.

If you're only looking at Toa Payoh area, you can only consider either First Toa Payoh or Guangyang. You can try Keng Cheng too, but I think your chance to get in will be9 lower.

Any school within 1km with ample vacancies. In the case of DD > SS, all the singapore citizens will have absolute priority before you...even if they are >2km. You are then going to ballot amongst the SPR.. so being closest to the school <1km is your only advantage.

Marymount Convent School - usually no problem for PR at Phase 2C. Not sure about phase 2CS.

MCS is a good school, hidden gem.

i also 1KM and phase 2c ..but i am avoiding this school :oops:
