Is the parents rich ? I remembered I saw the media reported they stay in Marine Parade flat. So HDB or condo or landed? If from young, he needs to swim at 4+am I would think that they stay in condo ? Else cannot be Swimming complex right ?

        From what i read,

        Only $90k(per year?not stated…),with a sports excellence scholarship:(

Some commented that he is lucky that his parents
Can afford it…but they are draining on their whole life savings,
& need to do a lot of budgetting…
& they are not young!!(his mum gave birth to him at 40yr old,his dad 47,if not wrong)

And i feel it’s NOT ONLY about the $ they need to spend…
There is a lot of other sacrifices, time, effort they need to make as parents.
& there are many super-rich parents around, but how many are willing to spend
So much $$(with no guaranteed returns?!),time and effort etc?!?
(No offence, but many prefers to enjoy life,go high tea and shopping, etc!!)
If it’s only about $,there would be many more who can get medals!!?:)

I have great admiration & respect for his parents!!!

I read the parents already spent $1.3m. Not many parents are able/willing to spend this kind of money. 😓
