Phase 2C > 2km for ACS (Junior) = 0% chance. -

Since you are going to register your boy next year for P1, it would be advisable to visit the MOE webpage and read up about P1 Registration so that you gain a better understanding of the entire registration system.Me and I totally don't understand how it works.

ACS (Junior) has all along been a very popular school and for Phase 2C, those who stand the best chance to get in at this phase are those who live within 1 km of the school. Even for this year where birth rate is amongst the lowest, balloting is conducted for those living within 1 km of the school.
So if you are still keen to register for ACS (Junior) next year, you could consider moving nearer to the school to increase your chances. Otherwise, consider other school options for your boy. Now is a good time to do all your homework and take your time to find out about other schools which may be of interest to you and your boy.
All the best.

Hi parents,
My son born in Sep’2011, I am thinking of registering him under Phase 2A2 with Kheng Cheng.
Any1 enrolling the same school?
The problem for me is I live Yio Chu Kang area, my wrkplc in toa payoh. My plan was to send him to sch b4 I rch office. However, my concern is if the school gets busier as he proceed to upper primary.
Any1 know if I can checkout schools around my area under Phase 2
even after registering him under Phase 2A2 in another school? -
Blueice06:
Yes you can still register for Phase 2C after you secure a place in Phase 2A2, but you'll have to withdraw your application first. If you don't intend to send him to KC, perhaps you should just skip Phase 2A2 to minimize the trouble and to give others the chance to register.Hi parents,

Hi,
I am new to this thread and I would like to seek advice on the registration for my boy (born in year 2011) next year. Currently, we are residing in AMK and we are Catholics. Our original plan was to move to Bishan to register in phase 2B at Catholic High. After looking at how my son interact with kids in his preschool now and his learning abilities as well as considering other factors, we feel that he will probably thrive more in a co-ed school. Our favorite choice now is Anderson Primary and knowing the balloting history, we are thinking of moving to 1k of the school to register in phase 2C. Is this a good move? Or should we just stick to Catholic High instead? To me, I don’t like to stay in bishan. I also have a girl studying in AMK now, so moving within AMK is more convenient?
My concern is really on phase 2C balloting at Anderson. If we cannot get it, what are the choices left? Compare to Catholic High, I assume if we are not able to get in phase 2B, there is still one more chance in phase 2C.
Look forward to inputs from you all. Thanks in advance. -

Hi, Anderson Primary is a popular school, so getting a place within 1km doesn't guarantee you to secure a seat in Phase 2C. This year is an anomaly as there are less tiger babies compared to previous years, so this year's registration can't be a good indicator.Hi,

On the other hand, Catholic High is harder to get in even though you stay within 1km and register under Phase 2B.
It all boils down to whether you have a backup school in either Bishan or AMK.
For Bishan (Catholic High in Phase 2B), your backup school in Phase 2C is most likely Guangyang. Alternatively, you apply to do PV in Kuo Chuan, so if the odds in Catholic High is bad, you could still switch to Kuo Chuan in Phase 2B.
For AMK (Anderson in Phase 2C), your backup school in Phase 2CSup is most likely Jing Shan. Not sure whether Anderson is accepting PV. You could check with the school. -
