Pr school students don't need anything fancy. As long as it can do word processing and surfing, that's good enough for school. Most basic PCs will have what's necessary. Go to a reputable shop and they can advise you.Hi

Personally, I love my toys so I can't wait for an excuse to buy him his first laptop (maybe a Microsoft Surface)
or better yet his first gaming laptop!

Pr school kids don't need personal laptops, but by upper Pr, it would be useful to have a PC at home to use for some word-processing and online searching. I'm not too sure they definitely need a personal one even in sec school unless the school is one of those that requires it (not all do). My kids also didn't get personal PCs until they were in Sec school.Do Primary School students need laptop?

Fight that temptation. You will rue the day when you have to stop his addiction to online games with his friends.Maybe things are different now? And maybe more for upper primary students?

For kids until Secondary 4, I think it is better to give them a desktop machine which they can only access in the living room, out in the open. It is much easier to oversee what they are using the machine for that way.
