3 more years to PSLE! Helping your child to lay strong foundation for all subjects is very important from preschool years to P3 level. The next 3 years will be the challenging years. It’s not about the T-score. It’s about the learning journey. P3 children should be able to be on auto-pilot mode to study and not require micro-management as compared to their P1 days.

These days, my DD makes a lot of transfer error mistakes in her Math. She was quite careful in her P2 so I wonder what is the issue now. The number given in the question is for example 677 but when she copied down to do her equation, it becomes 667. Is this a common careless mistakes and is there an effective way to reduce such carelessness?

If UNSW competition paper do not get distinction, is it mean that the chances to get in GEP selection test is very slim? Since GEP selection test is for top 10% meanwhile for UNSW results only high distinction and distinction are under top 11%. Any idea?

sumoye, GEP selection round two consists of 3 topics: maths, english and logic. while you did not indicate competition for which subject (maths or english), but by not getting distinction for one subject may not necessary mean slim chance. dc can still be very strong in the other subject plus logic. besides, unsw competition and the selection tests are quite different, so the correlation may not be high. round 1 may be out next week, all the best.

I thought the new syllabus is shifting away from this type of writing.

What was the given theme for this?
