My family and I just went to Mustafa to get hold of Alphonso πŸ™‚ Packed! Believe it or not, this is the first time I've stepped into Mustafa, and by the looks of it, I'll be back cos I think it's a place I'd be able to spend a whole day just browsing. Some of the things look interesting (as in the grocery section, since that was the only place I went to). We bought 12 mangoes, some riper than others, will slowly savour each one.

autumnbronze, these are supposed to be among the best of mango varieties, the ηŒ«ε±±ηŽ‹ of mangoes

They are in season now thru May.
I juz realised tat Alphonso mangoes is supposed to be the best. No wonder my ex colleagues always ordered cartons of it and asked me to join in. Mustafa was juz a walking distance to my office..

I have bought almost 2 kg of Alphonso mangoes back last wk.

But not sure if it is due to the way i pick my mangoes (got quite a few green ones), the mangoes that i ate were either rotten or sour (only a couple taste sweet). :?

I picked those that were yellow all over, soft but firm to touch. There were quite a few that felt mushy when you pick them up, those are too ripe liao.

Ohh.... so yellow is the key point! Tot those in green means it is not too ripe yet, hee...

I finally went today, but the loose mangoes and the ones in the boxes were too overripe and mushy 😒 😒

I have to go back again. They had loads of stock though. New batches were in the trolleys waiting to be unloaded
