Can one choose NA track even-though the T-Score achieved is for Express only? Any precedents? :scratchhead:

Looks like Top score went up to 283 from 278 which is last year high. Does it mean the COP for TOP schools would be up for 2017 intake?

          Nope...last year's high was also 283.
One from Nanyang, and one from Rulang.

hi, yesterday my son received the HCI confirm letter with psle results, need I submit S1 posting form? thanks.

            From http://www.ifaq.gov.sg/MOE/apps/fcd_faqmain.aspx?TOPIC=8351#FAQ_59426\t

If I am successfully admitted to a secondary school via the Direct School Admission - Secondary (DSA-Sec) Exercise, can I participate in the centralised Secondary One Posting Exercise?

If you are successful in the DSA-Sec Exercise, you will be informed of the school that you have been admitted to. Since this place has already been reserved for you, you will not be allowed to participate in the Secondary One Posting Exercise to opt for a secondary school.

However, successful DSA-Sec candidates who are eligible for Third Language programme and/or qualify for the course option may exercise their options during the Secondary One Option Phase.

              Attempt impossible:
My daught scored 258+3. Any chance to get in MGS or NJC? Thanks!

Since neither MGS nor NJC is a SAP school, your DD's effective T-score is 258.

MGS' last year COP - 261 (IP), 253 (O level)
              NJC - 258

She stands a better chance to be admitted into NJC, provided the COP does not go up.

MGS is adding another class next year for the IB prog so cut off pt will be diff. The sch has encouraged their girls to try for the IB if their score is 257 upwards. So it shld be safe for your dd to try if she really wants rhe school. Culture between MGS and NJC can't be more different. Which does she like better?

                  Hi dd scored 256+2(HMT chinse)

We live walkable distance to RV high near boon lay mrt.
Thinking of putting it as first choice due to proximity to home and good academic support.
Please suggest any other suitable schools.
DD is first child so would really appreciate your input

Wow! A record low for RGPS?? šŸ˜‚

My gut feeling says it shld be 280 and not 180.

                    180 for RGPS?? No way!!
so obvious someone is fooling around

RV will be the best fit based on distance (walking distance, nice!) with the added advantage as your DD took HMT.

                      Other recommended choices:
                      - Bukit Panjang Government High School (Bus 172 to Boon Lay station is approx. 40 minutes)

                      - Crescent Girls' School (MRT travel from Boon Lay to Redhill station is approx. 45 minutes)

The open house of MRG was very impressive, while NJC open house was very simple. She likes girls' school. Today we'll be going to SCGS open house.
