Comparing Pre-school English Reading and Phonics Enrichment

Thank you for the information. I always be thinking on introducing new strategies to activate my child's brain. Is it the place where more attention is provided to stimulate the right hand side of the brain? I heard in one of the centre teaching and learning strategies are formulated in such a way that the child discovers him to explore things in the right way.
My kid went for phonics read where he quickly learn to isolate, segment the one to one correspondence between letter and sound and also how to blend the sounds to spell the word. Their method is truly magical as my kid is able to read sentences in ease.
Hi, where is this enrichment? -
Does the icr outlet matters? I bought him to 2 outlets and there was no improvement, alas, my boy has to repeat the same course for 3 terms. Initially I thought ICR is good but I was wrong. Now I’m considering to drop him out and consider other phonic schools. Waste of time and money.

I’ve send my child to I Creative Learner & LC before by wasted almost 2y time and didnt see good improvement by now when he is turned to P1 which very poor in spelling now. So now have to look for a phonics class again. Hope to see hear some good recommend from West mummies. Thanks in advance.

Hi all,
My K1 boy is attending ICR-P and soon ready to advance to ICR. However i feel he hasn't learnt much in the past 6 months. While ICR-P is individually paced, ICR is structured weekly lesson. ICR can be quite overwhelming and fast pace: there is weekly spelling and one new sound each week. The whole ICR is covered in 12 months.
Now I'm wondering, should I withdraw and put him in montessori phonics so that he can progress slowly but steadily based on his own ability. Is montessori syllabus more structured? Does it build a better foundation for reading & spelling? I don't mind slow, more importantly the groundwork must be done.
Anyone with experience and advice for me?
Thanks in advance :)) -

There are lots of options to choose from: British Council, I Know English, LCentral, Etc. But there is something I wish to add.
The #1 bit of advice I can give is to find the best teacher!
Great material and methods of instruction in the wrong hands isn't going to help your child very much. Don't just ask about the teachers, demand to meet the teacher who will be teaching your child and really see if your kid gets along with them.
My daughter has been fortunate as she is a social butterfly and doesn't have any issues with new people. But after teaching in Singapore for nearly ten years I can say that I've met a lot of students who didn't learn well because they didn't connect with the teacher. I believe most people should look for a teacher who is fun yet really integrates the learning into everything they do. That is my personal philosophy and that's how I teach, and my daughter could read in English and Thai by the time she was 5+.

Hi,
Any classes recommended for 2.5years? -
Hi,
My son is going to K1 next year, will it be too early to start him on en enrichment class?
If he should start now, which center would you recommend? Would it be more suitable to hire a tutor instead?
Thanks in advance! -
