[Seng Kang] Primary Schools

Let's stand further back and look at the bigger picture.
That's provided they spread equally to these 2 schools. If one school is more popular than the other , there is still risk of balloting eg 85 to AGPSSavannah00:
75+53 =128
Left over from NCPS: 109 - all SC <1km
There are more than 2 schools available. I would think Fernvale (left 74) and Springdale (left 53) more likely to be oversubscribed.
North Vista was previously unavailable (2 last year) but now there are 52 places.
and you have AGPS left 75
and what about Palm View - left 37 (but likely to be oversubscribed or close to full house)
Total available of the just 5 schools above 291
NCPS exccess 109
Rivervale excess 14
Sengkang Green 164
Total excess 286.
You can fit the entire excess into just these 5 schools' vacancies (and there are others like seng kang primary and north spring which wasn't included above) if all the 286 are SC and all want to avoid balloting.
Choice ranking should be look at the closest one first. and if you have other preferences in the area, you have to monitor closely and once there is no confirm place in that school (need ballot for your distance), you should go to the one that confirm your placing. Choice is entirely yours if you choose to go for balloting. Either way, looking at it on the above number perspective, it is likely you are able to enter one of the 5 by snaking around.
I shall not further analyse \"Hougang-Punggol-Seng Kang\" combined numbers (will have headache if i do :rotflmao: ) as those >2km ones can fill in the gap if they want.
All the best. -
2 words… good luck

Hi I will be registering my Son for intake of 2018 for P1. Would like advise on schools In Sengkang which are tolerant towards children with mild ASD . My Son is suspected to be on the mild side of the autism spectrum. North spring Rivervale and Sengkang primary are closest for me. Any review about these with regard to my query? Or any other school in Sengkang also pls let me know .
Thanks -

I would advice you to write in to the school principal and arrange for a meet up discussion with him/her. The Principal will then be able to advice you on their staff capabilities as the principal will have the visibility on the available manpower for the coming year (staff on maternity, going on no pay leave etc who are trained at managing ASD behavoiurs).
After you had managed to gain admission to the school, contact the Principal again who will link you up with the Allied Educator and discuss with them on your child's strength and weakness and his behavioural and how they can manage him/her with your inputs. With this information, they will then be able to assign the class and appropriate staff. (If you do not inform the school, you might end up with a few ASD children in the same class and it is difficult for the teacher/staff to manage).
Hope this helps. -
Thank you so much for your response. Will mail the principal and take things forward from there.

Every school is different. There's no fix number for this. But I think typically there are 30 students in a class.
You can see the number of available seats from the balloting history page at https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/article/singapore-primary-1-registration-school-balloting-history/.
Or you can straight away go to https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/article/seng-kang/ if you're only interested in schools in Sengkang area.
The number of seats is under the column header \"Places\". If you divide the number by 30, you'll roughly get the number of classes.
By the way, there are 30 students in my son's class and there are 9 classes in total. -
