what's the purpose of Supplementary lessons ?

          compulsory or optional ?
apply to the entire P4 cohort level, or to selected students only ?

why can't Supplementary lessons be taught, in-corporated within the normal school curriculum hours, but make students stay back after school instead ?
do all schools at P4, conduct these ?

          another question -
are there any school, that doesn't conduct P4 IT training (Information Technology) ?

why some schools at P4 have CA1 this week (February), while other schools do not ?

do you think is better to have CA1, or not ?

I was telling dd that I hope they have CA1. For me is to see if dd could follow.

Remedial is meant for weaker kids.

I am thinking maybe we should start a supplementry class thread. My dd1 started sup class only this year in P6. DD1 told me, for her school, for sup classes for some subjects, they will be further sort according to their P6 SA1 results. :scared:

                  Pros:
1). I have more ME TIME, a lot more.

                  Cons:
2). No time for revision set by me.
3). DD gets drained out and feels tired most of the evenings

I wonder why the school not try to finish everything within Sch hours like our time. It's really tiring to stay back for extended hours after school. Don't forget, for some other days when they do not have sup class, they have CCAs and other activities like MO training.

For CAs, maybe our school is the odd one out? DD1 has never had any CA1/CA2. I find it less stressful and we can have more time for other things. Very good, I like. I don't think she is at any disadvantage without taking CAs for 6 years! In fact, there's less stress overall.

Compulsory IT training at P4? I am not sure.

No, school no CA1 (Feb) nor CA2 (Aug), only SA1 (May) & SA2 (Oct)

How about your child's school ?
                        This year : he got CA1 ?
