To be fair, I think it is very difficult for the students present during the release of results to provide such detailed breakdown.
students won't know the detail, but JC have the breakdown detail, how they come to 88.5

And this is the HCI forum… so yup, for HCI results.

Perhaps those who are keen to know the exact breakdown should await an official press release from HCI. In the past, HCI did release some sort of statistics on their website.

My boy confirmed with me that median score is 88.5 and mean is 85.1

you mention median score 88.5 ?

          To clarify -
can u be more Specific ?
          88.5 include or exclude H1 subjects ?
which JC ? Hwa Chong ?

can u also break down : going by individual H2 and H1 subjects, for
          H2 Physics, H2 Chemistry, H2 Biology, H2 Maths

          AND

          Humanities subjects :-
          H2 Econs, H2 Geog, H2 History, H2 English Literature, H2 Chinese Lit -

how did they come to 88.5 ?

          This 88.5 -

Include or Exclude ALL their corresponding H1 subjects, too ?

Please present ALL Facts & figures clearly, to everybody in the forum

Wow ! You are asking for so detailed details from a parent who wasn't in the school but just got info from her DS. I don't think schools will present such detailed details to the students.

Why don't you call HC and give us ALL facts and figures to everyone in the forum???

          😉

It is also quite interesting to read about some high performers, http://www.hci.edu.sg/news/hwa-chong-sustains-tradition-of-excellence. One of them actually received unconditional offer from Harvard!

I have a question. Is UAS the criteria to judge a JC performance nowadays?

Yeah! The HCI website said 11 Hwa Chong students have been awarded provisional Public Service Commission Scholarships. Also, a record number of 52 Hwa Chong students have received offers to Cambridge and Oxford University. Over 600 offers have also been made to Hwa Chong students from top US and UK universities such as Harvard, Brown, NYU, Imperial, LSE, and Columbia.
                        :congrats:

My boy said everyone was so excited that they were shouting, stamping and cheering for their seniors!
