I find Vodien pretty decent, with quite some well known clients.

And yes, you can install Wordpress once you received your cpanel access.

Yah, they are among the shortlist that I'm looking at. I am also hoping for some super duper cheaper option that provides the same as them πŸ˜‚

If $10 per month is not cheap enough, then Poznet has one that goes for $6 a month.

Then of course, everything else is scaled down as well. πŸ˜‰

Alternatively, since you are going to use Wordpress, just subscribe to Wordpress? Only USD2.99 per month.

Typical Singaporean mah. Ai pee, ai chee, ai tua liap nee.

I do use WordPress.com for a low traffic, low usage http://www.obliquetravel.com. It is mainly used as a depository for/of my own musings. Unfortunately, using them come with a lot of challenges if you intend to monetize the site due to their restrictive TOS. Thus, for a small business, it wouldn't make sense to host on them.

                Hello,

I am currently using godaddy. I think you have quite a good discount as a first time user! It is stable and offers good support. Hope that helps! πŸ˜„

It really depends on what your needs are. If you just need to host a simple site, you can consider subscribing to wordpress.com.

However, if you need to scale your website, you might want consider going for wordpress.org. Go to bigger players for hosting, their uptime usually are better. Especially, if you run some sort of online business/shop. GoDaddy and Hostgators (used them, quite reliable) usually run regular promotions. Do keep a lookout for those.

                    Thanks for the advice everyone.

I’ve signed up with Vodien. Their pricing seems reasonable and even their most basic package allows me to host up to 5 sites. I’ll most likely consolidate my sites on them (and scale up the package as they expand).
