U need both originals to withdraw, and to apply. The school may be willing to give u a Q number/application form if u show them the photocopies first & say the originals are arriving soonโฆu must present them before the cut-off time though. It has happened before, the school had to lock the door & turn down a latecomer.

Sobaice asked very good questions! I'm interested to know too. Does anyone know what are the odds of student transferring to ACSP? And does it make any difference if my Brother is an old boy of the school? Thanks in advance!Hi there! I'm currently debating (mostly with my parents--ha) about whether to take the risk of moving within 1km of ACSP. My son would be in Phase 2C so I know the chances of getting in are slim. I'm curious, for others who were--or know someone who was--in a similar situation, what happens if your child doesn't get into ACSP but is living in the viscinity? Does MOE assign you to one of the other schools with vacancies in the same district? *Will* there be vacancies in nearby schools? Where do most rejected ACSP applicants end up? Could they be sent to schools quite far away (my son is a SC)?
Thanks so much to anyone with any info you might be able to share!
ETA: If he doesn't get in and I put him on the waitlist to be transferred to ACSP, can this happen at any time (eg., mid-year, as early as P1/P2 even)? What sort of criteria does the school consider for younger transfer students, besides grades and CCAs? Does it make any difference that my brother went to ACS? Or that my daughter attends an affiliated Methodist school? Sorry for the endless questions!

Don't put your hope on the waiting list in ACSP. You can focus more on GEP test in P3 if you are still keen to transfer your son there in P4.

And your siblings do not play any part in P1 registration. -
The odd of transferring to ACSP is almost not possible. Because P3 has GEP streaming, students from ACSJ selected for GEP will go to ACSP at P4.
Hence transferring to ACSJ is likely. Have seen new kids in P4 though but very few. Coz most kids do not like to go to a new school half way through.
My advice to parents do consider your choice carefully with less risk. Hop around the neighboring school of ACSP like ACSJ and SJJ to understand the risk of vacancy especially in phase 2C. I have seen parents cannot get into any of these school and ended up being assigned to the "nearest" school by MOE. Donโt ever go into this mode. Donโt depend on transferring as an option because this is really not within your control. -

You're right that priority might be given to P3 students from ACSJ. In this case you can target either ACSJ or SJIJ instead of ACSP. FYI, it's slightly easier to secure a place in SJIJ compared to ACSJ, but both schools are popular. You just have to prepare a \"safe\" backup school in advance so that you won't scramble when the odds are not in your favor. The odd of transferring to ACSP is almost not possible. How is SJIJ compared to ACS? Pros and cons?

As of current situation, ACS students have better chance to stay in ACS when they go to secondary as ACS will accept them no matter what. This will change a bit after MOE changed the rule recently whereby 20% of the seats will have to be allocated to outside students.
So far only less than 50% of SJIJ students can proceed to SJI secondary because of the high cut off points.
I know that ACS is quite holistic. Not sure about SJIJ.
And of course ACS is a christian school while SJIJ is a catholic school. -
Hello, my husband is an old boy of ACSI (didn't study in any of the ACS primary school). If he signs up as alumni, does it qualify for Phase 2A1?
