Either school is good. Depend on which u prefer.

If u prefer affiliation to a Secondary school, then choose ACS.

      But ACS is All-boys school.

if u prefer co-ed School, then choose Henry Park. Also benefit your future generation (grand-children) next time : whether your grand child is a boy or girl.
      (Girls cannot study at ACS)

Apart from the sound logical considerations suggested above, can the alumnus himself tell us from his experience, which of the 2 schools did he have a better time in and why?

Agree. If you are an alumnus, you should know better. It sounds more like hypothetical question to me...

              Hi All

My boy will be in CHS which will be at Bishan and for my gal I am thinking between Nan Chiau and PLMGS for P1. I will be in Phase 2A2 for NC while Phase 2C for PLMGS.

PLMGS is just opp my house so logistic wise is easier taking into consideration that we will need to send my boy to bishan but I hearsay that academic wise NC is better PLMGS. Also, unsure if it will hit balloting for PLMGS so the risk there.

              Any view to share?

              Thanks a lot

These two are primary sch, i thought their academic are some how equal footage. One sch is strong in eng, one is strong in MT. One maybe more atas than the other one. I think you may wish to look deeper and consider sch culture of both schools, heritage, religion, discipline, values , pupils profile, holistic art education etc

Your boy is in the sec sch? time flies. If your boy was from NC, you should have a good idea of NC.

Do you mean you are applying this year?

PLMGS less likely to have a ballot within 1km in 2C if applicants remain below 30% in phase 1 (of course other phases in 2A and 2B will play a part).

One way is to secure your place in 2A2 then decide if you want to withdraw and apply PLMGS when the time comes. (not everyone will support this idea, but this is your rights)

School wise, I have no experience with PLMGS. Odd wise, TUR below 25% is more likely within 1km at 2C is doable. You can watch this year’s.

The last time balloting needed for 2c within 1km is in 2006 (dragon babies) and 2007.
